Use calipers to measure the thickness of the skinfold at each site. Take measurements on the right side of the body for consistency.

  • 1. Triceps:

    • Locate the midpoint between the acromion (shoulder) and olecranon (elbow) on the back of the arm.

    • Pinch the skin and underlying fat vertically.

    • Place calipers 1 cm below your fingers and record the thickness.

  • 2 .Abdomen:

    • Measure 2 cm to the right of the navel.

    • Pinch the skin and fat horizontally.

    • Place calipers 1 cm below your fingers and record the thickness.

  • 3.Thigh:

    • Stand and locate the midpoint of the front of the thigh, halfway between the hip and knee.

    • Pinch the skin and fat vertically.

    • Place calipers 1 cm below your fingers and record the thickness.
